I'm Pete Murphy. Happy Log is my place to record and share things that make me happy. While the news cycle shows the worst of everything, there's much more going on that never hits the news stand - and so much of it is positive.

I'm committed to teaching myself to listen more carefully, to forgive more readily, and to accept that most things in life cannot be neatly categorised as good or bad - black or white.

I enjoy swimming, political debate, nice beer, sunshine, and spending time with the people I love. I'm very happy in my job - currently working in the Australian Public Service (APS) on higher education research policy.
